When the bikes were small it was easy to just drag them out of the basement or house, but now they are getting too big and heavy for that. No garage and no storage shed. I'm considering getting a shed but our lot is hilly and I am not sure where I can put one. What other creative ideas have those of you without garages come up with? |
Bought a small lockable shed at costco. Maybe it's 6 feet wide by 4 feet deep. |
Under the stairs. |
In our house, in the closet. |
In our foyer we have a bike, a scooter, and a stroller. Soon to add a tricycle. Sigh. Can someone share a link to the small shed? |
Shed. |
Do you have a porch? |

Bought it at the ne DC Costco. We've had it for a month. Seems to be a pretty good product. |
In the backyard under a tarp |
Right now they are in the basement, which is a PITA. Looking in to a shed but we don't have a great place to put one in our yard. |
In the basement, which I know doesn't help you. But I just use a big rubber coated hook screwed into a joist in the ceiling.
It's number 11 in this list. If you have room, this is an easy way to store under stairs, too. http://blog.eleanorsnyc.com/14-favorite-bike-storage-solutions-from-2014/ |
Hooks on the ceiling of the car port. |
We have them in the laundry room, on a rack that lets us stack them so they don't take up as much space. |
Ours are in the basement, but it's a walk out, so easy to get them out. |
On a multi bike rack in our two car carport. Not the best solution, as we have four big bikes. |
