S/O - least chaotic Carribbean airports

I'm the OP of the 3-4 nights thread. DH wants to Caribbean but with a non-chaotic airport. I've heard St. Croix is good. St. Martin and Turks were just ok. We are okay with 1 connection - probably Charlotte or Atlanta because we are actually flying out of Richmond, where the grandparents/babysitters are.

How about Grand Cayman or St. Thomas (to get us to St. John.)? Any others?

I love Saint Thomas - it's small and easy to get around. Plenty of space - only one real direction to go. I feel on vacation as soon as we hit the tarmac.

Taking the ferry to St. John is easy, as long as you're flexible. They don't really come and go on the specific times they schedule.

Grand Cayman is a disaster during busy times - Christmas, spring break, etc.
