NCAP going downhill?

Anonymous
There are still plenty of Curl Burke people around. Don’t be naive. They changed the name because of stigma but many still around.

Yep, going downhill so fast people have to look back 20, 30, even 40 years to see evidence of the decline.

Agree. NCAP has the most swimmers of any club in the Top 30 of PVS swimmers this short-course season, male and female. The team is garbage.

It is because if you adjust for size (use math!) it’s the same as any other team

But that’s probably too difficult to understand if you don’t see how poorly run the team is

Drink that koolaid!

There is a reason for that

For those of you saying “shut this sh&t down,” you have your heads in the sand about just how bad Ncap is

Toll definitely gets “dragged to this extent.”

I'm curious about the Toll comment as a newer swim family in the area. We have friends there who rave about the club and have been trying to get my kids (age groupers) to switch to them.

I also know people with great things to say about the club. Those same people do acknowledge though that the coach has not handled fast swimmers transferring to other clubs very well. They have had a tough time keeping fast swimmers over age 13 because those kids get to a certain level and then look to move to an NCAP/RMSC/ASA.

Losing Phil and Jeremy is a huge loss. BG and DH are both great coaches. This thread is embarrassing.

Anyone know where Jake is going?

He could probably start a new Club with the number of his swimmers who will follow him wherever he ends up if it is local

Not as easy as it sounds when there aren’t a lot of empty lanes available at convenient times. Plus have to be willing and able to deal with all the admin or pay someone else to do it. Of course more overhead requires more swimmers. More swimmers, more lanes, fewer options to rent space not already occupied by a bigger team.

Word on the street is Phil and Jake are going to Hydra and will help coach T make them an instant powerhouse.

Swim club out of Tuckahoe. Their head coach burned a LOT of bridges getting the club set up, including actively advertising at the previous club he was coaching and getting a different team booted from their long time practice spot. It's probably the only club more hated than NCAP, so these comments are likely made up rage bait.
