The entire incident is crazy, but when the Italian PM leads him back to the group of leaders it’s clear he’s not there there. He shuffles back slowly without looking or speaking to her, no smile, zero expression on his face. He doesn’t look at anyone in the group. He stands facing the camera with a slight grimace but overall blank look on his face and in his eyes. His teeth are actually bared. He slowly raises his sunglasses and puts them on. He looks like a worn out animatronic figure. He looks nothing like the people around him; no expression on his face and not even noticing what is really going on around him. For some reason he was drawn to the Soldier packing his chute, but is too physically frail in voice and body to catch that guy’s attention.

Excellent (and accurate) summation. He looks so very childlike. Shame on his wife and all of his yes men for not insisting he pull out of this race.

I don't think so. I know people in their 60s and even 70s. Biden is a lot older. Just compare him to any of the other major world leaders. Who else repeatedly shows these kinds frailty over and over again? None. They do not. Because they are not increasingly decrepit. He is 81 years old.

You're just coming up with excuses for what is glaringly an elderly and frail man whose cognitive abilities is questionable even at the best of times. Sure you could.
But, we have seen extended clip after extended clip of Biden actually being confused and out of it. And, the clips are becoming more frequent and the confusion seems to last longer as time goes on. In other words, these are becoming the norm.

We are not talking 10-15 seconds. We are talking minutes long clips.

And, if you think he is going to improve in the coming years - LOL. You must not know anyone who has been the victim of diminished cognition.
