| Anyone has experienced in what specs to look for in a ceiling fan.? I have a two_storied foyer (cathedral ceiling). Need a ceiling fan to circulate air. Please comment if you have experience w purchasing a ceiling fan. |

| I wouldn't put a fan in a foyer and a 2 story foyer will need a long downrod to be effective. |

Personally, I agree. I have ceiling fans throughout the house, but in general I don't like them. They are aesthetically distracting. Unless you're planning on doing a very unique fan that you love, I wouldn't put it a location that will give the first impression of your home. |

I don't think that's the place to put one to circulate the air. It will circulate it up top, but won't make a difference to the bottom.
