Thinking about surprising DH with tickets to Sunday's game, but looks like it's going to be 93 degrees (!) on Sunday. I'll be (only) 7 weeks pregnant, and we'll have a 2.5 YO with us. It's a 1:35 game. We'll be miserable, right? I should think of something else, right? I am trying to get tickets on the western side of the stadium in the hopes that it will be shady, but maybe I should just scratch this idea.
He did basically nothing for me on Mother's Day, and I wasn't planning to do anything for Father's Day, but it's just not in my nature to ignore the day! |

I would be miserable.
Maybe you should just get tickets for DH and your 2 yo. Father-son fathers day bonding! |
LOL that sounds like a vacation for ME.
|
| There are plenty of places in the shade. If you get too hot or bored, take the little one to Yards or Canal Park (fountains). |
| Well, you sound like (1) you really do not want to go to the game and (2) you really do not want to do aything for DH. Based on that, I would scratch the game and do a lower key affair. Maybe a low key breakfast or lunch somewhere with a card. |
I forgot to add that you could go on Friday or Saturday instead. The games are night or late afternoon ones. |
I actually do want to do something for him, but I'm a little afraid that doing extra will make him feel worse about totally effing up my Mother's Day (I'm over it now, but was pretty pissed then!). I'm one of those "service language of love" people, and he's more "physical language of love" people. But he loves baseball (although the Nats aren't his team). I personally don't love baseball but think DS would enjoy it and don't mind doing something that I know DH will enjoy. Take one for the team! |
| What does 7 weeks pregnant have to do with this? |
| I went to one Nationals game and we purchased tickets to some indoor part with food. There were outdoor seats if we wants plus a huge, air conditioned indoor section with tvs. I have no idea what it was called, but I remember being surprised at how inexpensive it was for what we got. Could this be a solution for you? |
+1 Most people don't even know that early. |
I was puking by then. Also, no beer. |
Okay... But op was making it sound like she is hugely pregnant and at risk of going into labor. |
+1 and nausea and that heat is going to be extra miserable |
Like when she said she was "(only) 7 weeks pregnant"? You're reading a lot into it |
If you can show me where OP said that I'll send you a cookie. |
