| Bring it over baked (but packaged well), so they can decide to heat it up and eat it now, or freeze for later. |
| Just double check that they're not vegetarian and/or allergic to any ingredients and modify the recipe if they are. They will really appreciate the gesture. |
And bring some extra sauce! Frozen lasagna tends to dry out when reheated.

It'll be best baked the day you're giving it, but leave time for it to cool enough for you to handle the dish. |

I actually disagree. I think next-day lasagna is better than just-cooked lasagna, because it gives it extra time for all the flavors to mix and mingle and delicify |

| I say assemble the night before but don't bake it. It may not be needed the day you bring it over. Just let them know how to cook it depending on if they decide to have it fresh or frozen. |
| If you need to make in advance, bake immediately, then freeze. I second the suggestions for a throw-away dish. I usually add a post-it with baking instructions, and date it was made as well. |
| I bring it over unbaked. I prefer freshly baked, and it takes almost as long to reheat lasagna as to bake it in the first instance. I put the lasagna in a covered disposable pan and write the cooking instructions on top in a sharpie. |
