We live in an historic home and need to do something about the windows. We're open to the idea of keeping the original windows but haven't found a place that can deal with them. Has anyone had 100+ year old windows refurbished? Any recommendations for places to get it done? Any lessons learned? |
Cheaper, easier and more energy efficient to replace. Get good ones. |
This might be useful.

Heard of this company on DCUM. Have not used them as yet but sure could use them:

We used the Craftsmen Group. It cost about as much as new windows would have, but we got to keep our old glass and true divided lights. |
I got a quote from the craftsman group. Really nice outfit up in Columbia Heights who do this type of work all the time. Price was way out of our budget, but they are definitely the people to call. |
Thanks for the great leads!
