Legally Blonde the Musical -- age appropriate?

Anonymous
Has anyone seen this? It's playing on a cruise we're taking this summer, so would be free. I'm wondering if it's appropriate for a 9 year old girl, and her old-fashioned 85 year old grandmother. I checked Common Sense media, and the reviews were all for an MTV reality show about casting the musical. Those reviews said 11 and up, largely based on foul language by the reality show participants, and the fact that there is some gay kissing. Bad language and gay kissing does not bother me in the least, but if there's a lot of blowjob jokes or something like that, I'd prefer to find something else for both the little one and the elderly one to do.
I've seen the movie, but I assume that the musical is probably different.

I wouldn't, and that's based on nothing other than the movie.

If it is on a cruise it will be a 60 min mini version that will be PG rated max. Family friendly for older kids is usually the cruise MO. I'm guessing it will be a lot of fun dance numbers and very little plot/ talking. Enjoy it!

For PP, why not, based on the movie? I saw the movie years ago, so can't really remember anything except the basic plot outline.

Yes, it would be approriate. My 8 year old son saw it on The Norweigen Getaway and loved it. I'm not sure he understood everything but it was a great show.
