Bringing milk on the plane

Can you bring an icepack?
How many oz can you bring? I don't see any limit on the airlines website

Ty!

Yes, and as much as you need.

Yep - and you can bring as much as you want. I often travel with two ice packs and as much milked as I've pumped in 3-4 days. Never had a problem.

Carry on or checked?

Breast milk or cows milk?

Will you have a child with you? How old? Any disabilities?

All of these make a difference in the answer.

Bring it in clear bottles! I learned this the hard way. I had one of those pink "clear" plastic bottles, and they said the little laser scanner thing couldn't work through it so they had to open it to test it. Clear plastic bottles are fine.

If you bring ice packs, pull them out when you go through security, along with the milk. I didn't do that, and they registered as "unidentified organic material" and it took me forever to get through the TSA x-rays.

I've had milk tested before - they have you open it up and they put a test strip in it. Doesn't harm the milk.

If you are travelling with a child under 2 (I think that's the age), the limit on liquids doesn't apply. Have the milk in a separate container or pull it out at security, and clear bottles (breast milk) or commercially sealed containers (cow's milk).

Are you talking about cow's milk?
Just buy it after the gate. i've never had a problem.
