Declining offer of admission

Does anyone know, is there an accepted way of declining the offer of admission nicely? Do you have to list the reasons why?

I thanked them for their offer. With a few, there were memorable moments and outstanding professionals from the admission process and I cited those in the letter. I don't think you need to list the reasons.
