Fort Belvoir Preschool and PreK

Anyone have any reviews of Fort Belvoir's CDCs? I know there are several on post. I'm interested in their preschool and PreK (Strong Beginnings) programs. Also, how does the Bright Horizons on post work? Do you get military rates or Bright Horizons rates because I know there's a real difference in the rates between Bright Horizons and military. TIA

My children went to the Fort Myer CDC. We had a good experience. However, we pulled our children out when they reached Strong Beginnings. It was not developmentally appropriate program. Lots of work sheets and activities that were too academic for that age group and the older child was getting anxious in mornings and saying that the work was too hard. We moved our children to a play based pre-K program and they learnt a ton of stuff in a much more relaxed environment. Having said that, I recommend you speak with the director for the Strong Beginnings program at Fort Belvoir, it may be different at each CDC. Overall, we loved the 3 years prior to Strong Beginnings at the CDC.
