upper cape-cod toddler friendly activities

Thanks to you all we are flying from BWI to Providence with our almost 18 mo twins and then driving to Orleans (driving the entire way was on the table but DCUM helped decide against it).

I'm nervous about the travel (these kids like routine, don't like to sit still, and are poor eaters on the best of day) but excited.

So, any tips to make the flight and drive portions go well?

And, though I grew up there, I'm having a hard time thinking through activities the kids will enjoy. They are not sailing and won't go for long runs...so, besides Skaket beach, what should we do?

Crystal Lake is fun for kids - tiny beach but warm water and can use floaties and water toys.

Rent a bike and bike trailer and take a ride on the Rail Trail

Go to Snows and look at the train display

Go to the Brewster Store

Go to the Natural History Museum

Go to a baseball game - the season kicks off this week

If July 3 or later go to the Chatham Band concert on Friday night. VERY kid friendly, many families with very young children go for the first 45 mins or so, when they have children's time and dancing around the bandstand.

Go to the Chatham Pier in the afternoon and watch them unload the fishing boats and watch the seals in the harbor

Go to the Train Museum in Chatham - climb on the engine in the back. Play on the playground across the street.
