Has anyone used this product? I tried doing a search but not much of anything came up and I'm pretty new to this board.
I like the idea that it can make a deck look sort of new/smooth/refinished. I also like that I can pick colors, as I like that look a lot. Any tips or experiences? |
We used it on our deck. No real tips, it's basically very thick paint. Applying it is kind of a pain because it is so thick. We applied it last year and it still looks ok. I don't know if our deck looks "new" but it does look nice. |
We used it on our deck and covered porch. Here is our recommendation:
1) Definitely apply two coats 2) Work fast cause it dries fast 3) Make sure you mix containers of this stuff prior to painting because color is slightly off between buckets we purchased. 4) Make sure to use it when it is not too cold. Tried applying it in late October and it got too cold so we had to wait till spring. 5) Don't expect it to be perfect but it is good enough for an old tired deck. |
We have an old tired deck as well and we opted against it. Too many negative reviews online regarding longevity, and confirming my concerns that it's really hard to deal with once it starts peeling, which it inevitably will sooner or later (just like paint would). So we just used Behr semi-transparent weather proofing stain, and the deck looks much better as well. Won't smooth out the surface, but smoothes out the look. |
Has anyone tried using this product on a 3-season porch floor? |
