We just matched with this school for first grade. Can any of provide insight?

It's a nice neighborhood school with a great active community. I think the current Kindergarten class is one of the strongest so far, so you'd have a pretty good cohort in next year's 1st grade class.

The principal is leaving at the end of the year, so there is a little churn with that.

I guess that depends what you're looking for. I know several families that are happy with the school and several that have switched to charters / OOB.

What was it that the families who left found lacking?

Some wanted Spanish immersion, some wanted Montessori, and I guess they got that through the lottery this year.
