Is Speed Queen the only one out there making regular ol' washing machines that use truly HOT water, and use an adequate amount of water (do they even still do these two things, you never know these days given the arms of regulations)?
What about this company below (Huebsch), does anyone know anything about them? |

I'm not answering your question, just jumping in today how much I love my Speed Queen. I'll never go back to fancy troublesome front loaders. May I ask why you're looking for an alternative?
(SQ owner for 2 years thanks to DCUM.) |
Not sure, but there are at least a couple of posters on this board who rave about Speed Queen. I know when I replace my 12-year-old Kenmore that I will give it a look. |
Not what you asked. But they he such good new detergents now that are made specifically for cold water. I have a big old top loader and wash everything in cold and it comes out clean. There was a good report on this on NPR last weekend. |
(OP) Thanks for the responses all, I guess Speed Queen is it for now! I wish there was something we could buy at good ol' Sears or Best Buy or something, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore!
I know about the Cold Water detergents, but I prefer to use hot water for sheets/towels/non-work clothes. |
