Dishwasher is useless now and dishes come out dirtier than when going in. We plan to remodel our kitchen in 2 yrs or so when budget allows. Do we replace broken dishwasher w one we'd want in our remodeled kitchen or get a cheap one to use for next 1-2 yrs? |

How big is your family and how much do you hate doing dishes? I find that I often hand wash these days because I hate loading and unloading. |
I'd get the one you want in the remodeled kitchen. Dishwashers pretty much come in one size so it will fit. |
Get one for the long haul |
Two years is too long for me. There is less variability in size of dishwashers than with other appliances so I'd get a good one right now. |
I'd get the one you want for the remodel. |
Get a nice new one. Two years is long. |
That is what we did many years ago and it worked out fine. |
Cheap ones don't clean as well in my experience, so I'd get a nice one. This is what we did when our new but crappy dishwasher failed in our 1985 kitchen (which we hope to remodel someday). |
Cheap one - you do not need all the fancy cycles. All of them break. I would never buy a fancy one again. |
Get whatever you would get for the remodel. |
Get a mid range one for $1k |
