How much does your teen charge for babysitting?

My 14 year old is new to babysitting and people keep asking what she charges. What is a reasonable rate?

My 13yr dd asks for $7-8 but has always been given $10. This is for multiple kids. This is in Arlington.

My Bethesda 15 year old would say $10 but is often given more depending on the situation (# of kids, length of time, duties while there) My 13 year old charges less.

Our 9th grade neighbor (rising 10th grader) charges $10/hr in NWDC.

No, if the parent is on deployment, I always said that they could do whatever they wanted, and the other parent always paid me the average rate or higher.

We pay $10 for an 18 year old in Fairfax Station/Lorton.

We paid $20 per hour in Lorton but we had a weekly schedule. She had an unstable home life and we knew she needed to save for college. Best thing we ever did and was worth the extra money.
