Does anyone know of a good place for threading near the Shady Grove metro/King Farm area? Thanks in advance.

I've never had it done there, but Lifestyles for Hair in King Farm Village Center offers threading.

Bubbles Hair Salon in Fallsgrove offers threading.

Is there an advantage to doing threading as opposed to waxing? I have always wanted to try it but always thought it looked painful.

I'm not sure if Elaj Day Spa in King Farm does it, but I've never had less than a totally stellar treatment there (I've done massages, facials, and mani/pedis). LOVE that place.

OP here. Thanks so much for all these responses! My office will actually be moving soon from King Farm to near Shady Grove Adventist, so I might try Bubbles in Fallsgrove first. But it's so wonderful to have other options, too.

I prefer threading because I want a thicker brow line, and I've found it's much easier to get one with threading. Even if I ask a waxer for a thick line, it always turns out really thin. With threading, though, I've always gotten a nice thick line--something that's true to the eyebrows I was born with, just neater (and without the unibrow).

I've found that waxing and threading hurt in different ways, and I wouldn't call one of them worse than the other. Threading does seem less likely to leave my face raw--meaning that I can go confidently from a threading appointment to the office, and not be self-conscious about the red marks all over my face.
