Cleaning white marble tile?

Does anyone have a white marble tile bathroom? How has it been to clean? Do you need special cleaners? Stain easily? How does it look 3-5 years later?
My designer is pushing white marble, but I'm concerned about maintenance. I do know about sealing it every 6 months. |

| I would love to know if people have a good cleaning product for marble. I am fine with our marble countertops (though we had a couple of college students live with us for the summer and some of their cosmetic products did discolor it a bit - they weren't careful about cleaning things up), but the tile kills me. Just hard to find good cleaning products that say they are safe for marble and actually clean well. If I did it over I would get a nice ceramic or porcelain tile for my floors and shower stall. |

| Don't do it! I have white marble countertops in two bathrooms. They are beautiful but stain SO easily. If I were doing countertops today, I would do quartz or granite instead. |

Yikes. This is OP and we just had marble installed two weeks ago. We haven't started using the bathroom yet, but hoping it won't stain too much. PP - did you seal every six months? |

Marble is SO porous. My god, I don't know why designers keep pushing this product!
Had it in my old bathroom, NEVER again! Seal it OP, and seal it often. Seal it as if your sanity depended on it! |
