Is that a good amount for god daughter's college graduation? I couldn't make the commencement but about to mail a check. I am a recently retired GM-13. |
I have no idea what your last sentence means. But I think $100 for a god-daughter graduating from college is okay. Not great, not awful.
My godparents didn't know when I graduated from high school or college so sent nothing. My sister's godparents knew when I graduated from high school and sent me personalized stationery from Tiffany with matching fancy pens. I'm almost 40, still have it, and still happily think of them each time I use it. |
I would do $1000 at the very least for a godchild. |
$100 is fine. |
$100 is a wonderful gift |
How close are you to your godchild? |
Just stop. OP-$100 is fine. |
I have 5 Goddaughters and 1 Godson. I sent (the oldest 2) $100 when they graduated high school and a pretty necklace from Tiffany. When the oldest finished college I sent $250 and a coffee maker. Hey, I asked her what she wanted and she said a coffee maker! The money was an extra. The other 4 are still little, but one of them is "graduating" from elementary this year and I will be giving her earning (not Tiffany.) I adore all my Godchildren and are very close to each of them. |
This is goofy |
What is GM-13? |
$50-75 seemed reasonable to me. You give what you are comfortable with and can afford. |
$100 sounds like a great gift! |
Anywhere between $50-100 is fine, OP. |
You're a recent MS-13? |
100 is more than fine. BTW, where did you retire from? I didn't think they have GM at 13 any more. |
