How long do you have to wait for results of lottery?

I am curious how long the wait is between the lottery in your public school district (for magnet/charter schools) and the time parents are notified whether their child "won", or was waitlisted/was not admitted.
Can parents find out immediately (by attending the lottery or via internet), or do you need to wait for a letter? |
