What to use to hang name letters on the wall?

I just bought some letters that spell my son's name to hang on the wall in his room. The directions say to use double sided tape or another type of adhesive to hang them on the wall. I am hesitant to use double sided tape b/c I don't want to ruin the wall when it comes time to remove them. Has anyone used a sturdy adhesive on the wall that won't ruin the wall?

I use the double-sided 3M stuff that comes off without hurting the wall.
