How often for cleaning person? Would you rather ok cleaning every week, or great every 2 weeks

So we decided to change cleaning services.

Would you rather have an OK cleaning person who spends 2.5 hours every week vs a very good cleaning person that comes every 2 weeks and spends 4 hours?

The price is the same.

Personally, I'd prefer very good every 2 weeks.

We just switched to every 2 weeks. The house now seems cleaner at the end of 2 weeks than it did at the end of 1 week with the previous service.

I would do it once a week if I could. No question it is cleaner that way.

I just switched from every two weeks to every week and am really enjoying it. The floors and bathrooms are much cleaner now and I am not stressing so much about the daily little things (mainly floors and bathrooms!). Also, since they come on Fridays, we've relaxed a bit about having guests over -- not just trying to schedule them on a week the cleaners come.

The only thing is the expense but I just realized that I pay for cleaners like others buy shoes or clothes...

OP here, my issue is the floors they seem to look better when mopped once a week.

I would vote for the OK cleaning once a week. Things can get a little mucky as you enter the second week.

We used to have cleaning once a week and now we have it done every other week. I think the ideal would be every 10 days. That is when I really start to notice that the house needs to be cleaned.

If you were talking about the same person, I'd do one initial "deep clean" and then do the 2.5 hours a week.

But - the fact that one is "okay" and one is "very good" is what is tripping me up. The person who is just okay will miss things that frustrate you, I think.

If the only issue is the mopping once a week, could you get a steam mop for the heavily traffic'd areas? I know that sort of defeats the purpose, but doing it twice a month wouldn't be too bad. A steam mop makes it so easy.

I just wouldn't want to go with a "just okay" cleaning person regardless of how frequent.

OP here, I would say the every week teem is better than OK (we are particular and many people use the team every two weeks)

Alright, I'd do the weekly service then. I really think bathrooms should be cleaned weekly, so that plus the concern about the floors would put me in the weekly schedule. Plus, stuff cleans faster when it is done weekly. A shower that might take 10 minutes to clean when you do it every 2 weeks only takes 5 minutes if you do it once a week, so they can probably get through with a pretty similar list in a shorter amount of time because they are doing it every week.

Weekly would stress me out because I have a lot of "cleaning" I need to do before they come. Many times I find myself relieved that it's an "off" week.

If they came every week though, you'd have a lot shorter time period for it to get messy so it might not be as much.

we choose weekly. I do a deep clean about once a month
