switching clinics for FET?

Anonymous
We have embryos frozen at one clinic but want to continue at another. Has anyone brought their embryos with them for treatment somewhere else? Is there a cost for this? I'm switching between SG and CFA.

We have switched, no fee involved. (From GW to CFA) There is a special container you have to pick up, they will place the embies in there, you transfer (or, at least we did) the container to the new facility. GW held a credit card for the value of the cryo container and released the hold when we returned it. Viola! Good wishes to you!

May I ask why you are switching? I am trying to figure out where to get my IVF.

As an FYI--
I know that some practices will not accept frozen embryos that were "created" by other practices.
I'm pretty sure SG has this policy (it's not clear whether you are transferring to or from SG).
Best of luck!

OP here.... I'm at SG and have really liked it. I've had a good experience with my nurse (I LOVE HER), my doc, and the lab, etc. I have had 4 failed IUI's and 2 failed IVF's, and my DH and I just think it's time to get another opinion. So I think we'll make the switch to CFA ( We met with Sacks already). We have FE's at SG and want to do the natural cycle FET at CFA. At CFA they do artificial or natural FET's....kind of enticing compared to SG's IM injection protocol for FET's.
