I need a good family therapist to help me sort through the various aspects of being raised by an abusive Mother and a complicated family dynamic. Can you please recommend a therapist that can help me.

Stephanie Lebow in Dupont is super ... perceptive, warm, experienced with advising on abusive situations, and very helpful with concrete things to think abut and consider doing.

Lynn Friedman in Chevy Chase is fantastic. So warm and caring. 9 years after stopping therapy, I ran into her on the street one day and I almost started crying I was so grateful to her. She's very motherly herself (in a good way) so it was helpful for me to talk to her about all of my issues growing up with a severly depressed and emotionally distant mother.
