bullying @ mundo verde

I'm not a parent at MV but was at an event where there were stories exchanged about rampant cases of bullying at the school. I understand some bullying may occur but teachers and admin must have no interest in controlling this bad behavior. As i am not a parent there, i don't know how much of this is true, but i heard of kids being violently attacked (stones thrown) and pushed off, etc. If this is the case, is the school just pushing down the rug or actually doing something about it?

If you are not a parent there or considering the school then why are you starting this thread?

What a stupid thread by someone just trying to stir the pot. Worry about a school where you are a parent.

You get so close to logic and reason and then you engage in the exact same DCUM BS in which the OP engaged. Sure, they're trolling. And telling them to buzz off makes sense. But you're as full of BS and come off as incredibly defensive when you suggest that only people who have a kid somewhere or live somewhere should chime in. That's not how DCUM works; it's how your school's list serve works.

This thread should be retitled "bullying @ DCUM"

That was me. I have nothing to do with MV but I recognize bullshit when I see it.

I suspect this thread was started by a parent who wants their kid to get in to MV and is trying to scare off parents who have already chosen/are considering choosing it so they can move the wait list.

I have no idea about the bullying but we are turning down MV for pk4 this week.

Regardless of the intent of the OP, there is no secret that there is a bullying issue at MV this year, specifically 3rd grade. There have been numerous posts about it, online petitions, and most recently MV announced they are hiring additional staff this year to address it.

Apparently a kid lost his front teeth when another kid threw a rock at him. Thousands of dollars in future dental work expected.

OP is correct. Potential parents should ask the school about this.

So rising 4th grade has bullying issues?
