| Has anyone dealt with peroneal tendinitis or tendinosis? I was marathon training and developed this injury. I am now starting my 4th month of dealing with this problem. I was booted for a portion of the time. I had been off my feet with minimal walking and I am still not improving. What was your recovery and did you have a "magic bullet" for recovery? Dr. isn't very encouraging. |
| I've just developed ankle tendinitis for the first time this spring, caused (I think) by changing my stance in tennis. Advil helps a lot, but anytime I play - which is often - it flares up again. I hate tendinitis; I have it in my elbows too and it doesn't seem like it every really resolves. |
| Yeah I have this. It flares up a lot. The only thing the doc has recommended is PT. Have you gotten an MRI? |
| haha - I really thought you meant 'perineal'! No tendons there! |

Look into these wraps. Not a magic bullet but helps aid in recovery. Worth a look into. http://www.kingbrand.com/Peroneal_Tendonitis_Treatment.php?REF=34PV67.316
I used them for carpal tunnel and they really helped. Same idea, get the inflammation down to enable the blood to flow through more freely, then by stimulating it, it will help heal and repair the damaged tissues. |
| I know this is an older thread, but came up in a search I did. Did you find any magic bullet treatment? |
| I am 6 months into my recovery. It can be a very long process unfortunately. |
Can you describe your treatment? Not the OP, but I've also got this and I'm stumped. |
