Can anyone recommend a good leather chair or recliner

for under $1000. We are checking Craiglist and can't find anything we love. Can't shell out $1500+ for a really nice one.

Keep an eye on Craigslist for Hancock & Moore. They make nice quality recliners and you find them all the time for under a 1000.00. I have two in my FR found that way.

Barcalounger, hands down. They have great modern styles (or traditional if that is what you prefer) and don't look like recliners. Very well built. I thought they went out of business but just Googled and looks like they are still making them?

I was convinced when a family friend had one in their main living room that was over 20 years old, had been through 5 kids, and still looked fabulous and was so comfortable. Their other furniture looked normally worn, so it wasn't like they kept things pristine. I have had mine for 6 years now and it looks as good as the day I got it - and it is my go-to daily chair.

Wasn't sure about the quality of ikea - I couldn't find any reviews of their chairs online. Leather furniture is so iffy - it needs to be able to wear well or it is worthless. Any view of leather furniture of CL will give you a good preview of why.
