My rental condo has a standard smallish 4-piece bathroom that needs to be redone. It is not an expensive area and I don't want to go overboard for the amount of rent I can collect, but I do want a high-quality pleasant bathroom for my tenants to use. What are your recommendations for the types of materials, color scheme and design? Should I go the safe route of espresso cabinets on beige tile, or should I do something else? |
Espresso and beige sounds fine. The only thing is that a lot of the espresso cabinets are cheap and they chip and scratch easily. |
This is what I did in a small rental bathroom: maple cabinet from Lowes (a kitchen cabinet, not a vanity - affordable vanities tend to look and feel really cheap), premade granite countertop from Lowes or Home Depot, brushed nickel hardware, oval mirror (no frame) fronting a discrete medicine cabinet, basic white toilet, Home Depot gray/cream tile on shower surround and floor, simple white blind, BM Edgecomb Gray paint with white trim. It looks fresh and lovely. |
