Math/Science at Hardy

I know there are now honors classes for kids at Hardy in math and science. What subjects are actually taught. Is it early algebra for math…if that is 6th grade then what is taught in 7th and 8th? And science? What is covered in science honors? Is it the standards curriculum in more depth or are they accelerating subjects?

Trying to compare curriculum to BASIS in more specifics.

They offer algebra in 7th grade and at least one (small) section in geometry in 8th grade. You should contact their principal at [e-mail]

Not a Hardy family, but why don't you call the school, find a family, or go to an open house and then graciously report back to DCUM instead of trying to imply no one else is willing to help you?

Not a precise answer, but DC recently went through hardy and I found the math and science programs to be quite strong.

The SEM science teacher, Britni Whitty, is very smart, creative, and really gets the kids involved.

My kid enjoyed all three years of science classes at Hardy, and then went on to Wilson and is enjoying and getting good grades in science and math classes there.

Go meet and ask the current Hardy parents , they are meeting in front of the 35th St NW entrance for coffee and pastries every first Friday of each month. I know that it is confirmed for Friday 5th.
