Scented Candles vs Melting Wax Tarts?

Anonymous
I've recently become really intrigued with wax tarts ever since seeing some adorable scented wax tarts and tea lights on Etsy. For those of you who don't know what wax tarts and tea lights are, here is a picture from Google: http://www.essential-pleasures.com/images/warmer3.jpg

From what I've read, candles burn longer. But I like the look of wax tarts and I think that the combination of the tea light scent and the tart scent makes the aroma last longer. Has anyone tried both and developed a preference?

I like wax tarts better, but I prefer the electric warmers with a light bulb rather than tea lights. I think candles are dangerous and the soot gets on the wall/ceiling over time

Didn't you just post yesterday about Yankee Candles?

No...I'm a totally new poster. Jesus, stop being paranoid.

Oh thanks, that's a really good point. I didn't think of that, I was just too absorbed with the spa-like atmosphere the tea light + wax tart combination creates. Do you buy the wax tarts wholesale or form independent sellers? I really love the ones on Etsy, they seem reasonably priced at $4-$8 for a 6-tart-pack, but I'm wondering if I can get a better deal.
