weekly minivan rental that's not $500+

For our week-long beach vacation this June, a family member has recently been injured and now will need to be picked up and ride with us to go to the beach with us in the Outer Banks.

DH and I have our own car and an SUV that each seat 5 max comfortably, but want to rent a minivan for the 6 of us for the week.

Any sources for something that does not cost $500+ a week for a minivan rental? I've checked Hotwire and my discounts I'm eligible for and I can't seem to get lower than that.

If you can get $500 for the week, grab it. I got $794 from Enterprise.

Do you have a Costco membership? You can go to their travel section and look into rental car prices there. It's worth a shot.

Ditto. We rented a minivan in Orlando over spring break for $358 (6 days though, not 7).

Where are you trying to rent it from? A lot of times, they are cheaper outside of the airports, for example. We are renting a minivan in Boston, for example. At the airport it's more than $1000/week. Just outside the airport it's around $500/week.

Thanks all. I think we are going to take 2 cars to save the $500+. If I could get it under $300 I might consider it but it doesn't seem likely.
