These Boxwoods STINK like cat pee! Can I spray anything on them?

Anonymous
It has been really rainy lately where I live (not DC), and the boxwoods that are near my front door stink so much. Totally smell like cat pee. We're planning on pulling all the boxwoods and re-landscaping next year, but for now, I need to live with them. It is definitely the boxwoods, not roaming cats or anything.

Can I spray them with anything to try to temper the smell? What about something like vinegar with some essential oil mixed in? I know it might not last too long but want to have my windows open and not smell them, or have something to spray before people come over.

Haven't heard of anyone spraying box wood, but you might want to ask GardenWeb or some such specialized website.
I love the smell of boxwood myself

Boxwood's smell is like cilantro for taste. People either love it or hate it.

Both are great in my book.
