Tess Holiday is on the new cover of people and I just don't know. I think her body is as unhealthy for impressionable young girls as the pin thin ones.

| It's healthy in the sense that Tess accepts herself and is happy. That is a good message to send to girls. Self acceptance is key to moving forward. Respect others even if they look differently than you do. |
| Obesity is unhealthy and should not be celebrated, just like any addiction. |
It's a horrible message to send to anyone. Obesity can be corrected. And I am supposed to "accept myself" if I'm a horrible, mean person who does harm to those around me? |
| Body acceptance is important. |
Oh for f sake how does an obese person cause harm to anyone around her? You are and asshole looking for excuses to blame people for your unhappiness. |
| I was not impressed with the cover showing her. Being obese isn't healthy or "cool". |
I'm not talking about obese people in general, honey. I'm refuting the ridiculous statement that blind "self-acceptance" is "key to moving forward." Please put down the new-age self help books, clean up your language a little bit and try to move out of mommy and daddy's basement by the time you turn 30. |
Get over yourself already. Lots of us carry around extra weight. When I first saw the picture of Tess I found myself thinking "Oh she is FAT!" But you know what? I may not be as big as Tess but I'm fat too and I still care about myself. I still enjoy life. And I still have a lot to be proud of. I'm sure that Tess feels the same way about her life. |
Feel free to self hate all you want honey bunches. But you can count me out. |
| well that escalated quickly. |
And this is surprising why? |
Why am I not surprised to learn this? |
Not beautiful or healthy.

I think you should eat something. Would make you a lot less bitchy. |
