Cost to add a tiny powder room addition?

Anonymous
Buying a colonial in the silver spring area. No first floor bathroom, but with little kids in the house (and for general convenience), it'd be really nice to have a toilet and sink on the first floor. Doesnt' seem to be a way to squeeze it into the existing footprint.

Any idea how much it would cost to add a tiny addition to the house (like <30 sq ft) to add a powder room? Does this even make sense? (ie: if we're going to pay to go through the trouble of an addition, are we losing a lot of $ by just adding this tiny space0?

Thanks!

Doesn't make sense. You'd have to build out the foundation and planing just for this little space. If you can do a bigger addition like a den or playroom with a bathroom to get some cost evening out

+1. You are going to have sticker shock at the effective square foot price of doing this project.
