FCPS ESY and busing

Since its ungodly hot today...is it true that the FCPS buses have no air conditioning? My child is slated to attend ESY and I expect the bus ride will be unfortunately long. Will he really be sitting on a bus for 2 hours a day with no a/c?

| The buses have air condition so rest assured your child won't roast. I'm sorry there's such a long bus ride, I opted to drive last summer when they told me it was 1.5 hours each way. |

| My dd's went to SELT last summer, and FCPS said that some buses have air conditioning and some do not. I have been on the ones without air conditioning when I attended a field trip. They said that it could not be guaranteed that we would get an air conditioned bus. Oh yeah, and they would make no accommodations for her epipen. So we drove to SELT because of this situation. When I did see the bus stopping in our neighborhood, it appeared to have air conditioning because the windows were closed. |
