Ballpark costs to gut a row house?

Anonymous
Not a total gut but redo kitchen and 3 1/2 baths, plus maybe take down a wall

Where is it? Costs really vary by location, even within the DC metro area.

Depending on what materials you pick and whether you keep plumbing in the same place, between 75k and, oh, I dunno, $500k.

Dc. Would want the kitchen to be pretty nice (subzero, wolf etc) but midrange for bathrooms

Do you plan to sell this house? You will not get a return on your investment for a super high end kitchen and the rest of the house does not match.

$125-$250/ square foot.

I see a lot of houses with original or boring bathrooms that have nice kitchens. As long as the bathrooms are good size and neutral looking I don't think it's going to be a deal breaker.

Isn't that how much an addition costs, not a renovation?
