We get condensation in our dryer every summer. Like, actual puddles of water inside the drum. Has anyone ever dealt with this and found a solution? The dryer is in the basement, and vented through an external wall. Thanks! |
Sounds like the vent might be blocked and the added humidity in the summer may be why it happens in the summer and not the winter. You may want to check the vent ducts internal to the dryer. |
You need to make sure the entire vent is clear. Also, if you take the clothes out while they're slightly damp, run the empty dryer another 20 minutes to dry it out. Then keep the door open when it's not in use. You should also consider getting a dehumidifier for your basement. I have one in my basement an it completely eliminates any condensation I have down there. It has made a huge difference. |
