Home Daycare opening in South Alexandria

My wonderful home day care provider, Sunita Malvea, has one current opening and one opening coming soon. She is a licensed home day care with two full time employees, able to care for up to 12 kids. She is able to take a wide variety of ages, but typically takes kids from about 8 weeks or so until they head off to kindergarten. She participates in the USDA food program, and provides a good breakfast, lunch, and snacks. She has a big play area in the back yard, and encourages reading, arts and crafts, and supervised play. My son is now 3, and his preschool teacher (he goes there two mornings a week in addition to Sunita's daycare) tells me that his verbal skills are outstanding. I credit a lot of that to Sunita and her work with the kids, and my son's exposure to other kids his age and older. Sunita is located near Mt. Vernon High School. She is easily accessible by families living around Mt. Vernon/Yacht Haven area, the GW Parkway/Ft. Hunt Corridor, and Sherwood Hall/Rte. 1 area.
