Most falttering casual light (spring/summer) pants for shorter women?

Anonymous
I;ve been the reading hte capri pants posting- I'm also guilty for same reasons as the other thread OP- it's a little less revealing than shorts but still cools you- and I can';t wear skirts constantly with 2 toddlers..

I also agree that linen is a special fabric that is very hard to mantain with two young ones..

Any suggestions for flattering pants for 5'3" women who don't have model legs?

Sorry to say this OP, but you probably need to go try the pants on and see what you like. Not what you asked, I know.

I am 5'3 and not overweight when I'm not preggo but def have some hips. I really find that gap cropped pants or koolats fit me well. I find banana & Jcrew are more for stick figure type women. Funny enough LL Bean and Lands End have great cuts for short women. Dick's has a great pant selection believe it or not. Lots of golf type, athletic pants, and hiking type stuff - but not pants that can only worn for dong those things, they look great with cute shirts.

If you go to Nordstroms the ladies there will actually give you several cuts for your body type.

Try to take a trip to the mall, bring some flats and a great tshirt and just try some one. See what you like! Good luck.

Hi OP, I'm the OP from the capri pants thread. What I've found recently is that cropped pants (just above the ankle) and long shorts (just at or below the knee) are ok, depending on the cut. What we need to stay away from are the capris that hit at mid calf. I think they really cut your leg off and make you look stumpy. I'm going to get rid of the ones I have that do that and try to stick with either "cropped," long shorts or sundresses (but I agree, skirts and dresses are hard when chasing toddlers!).

Thanks other OP What cropped pants (just above ankle) have you found that fit well lengthwise (since we're the same height).. any brand/store to look into? I tried searching online a bit after reading your post and mostly saw cropped pants (ankle short)..
