Our bathrooms are so tiny there is hardly 20 inches of room between the door, the edge of the shower and the toilet. Do you use bathmats in these tight spaces or go without? |
I can't stand going without so we have always used it even in our tiny bathrooms. Our last bathroom was so tiny I had trouble finding a size. It was also just DH, myself and a infant/toddler so we didn't care about leaving the door open while we showered. |
I have a tiny bathroom and yes, a bathmat. I would be so weirded out to step out of the shower onto tile. |
Not to mention dangerous, says someone who took a header on bathroom tile in a hotel once. |
OP here: Just as I suspected. Any idea where I can find these tiny bathmats? |
I got mine at TJ Maxx or Marshalls - one of those places. |
IKEA has some small ones. |
Home Goods has a nice selection of small bath mats. |
We just use an absorbent bath rug that stays on the floor all the time and gets washed every week. Rugs are available in a lot more sizes/shapes than bathmats. |
We use a big handtowel (not washcloth) to step out onto. And then once it's wet, I drape it over the tub so it dries. |
Hand towel, hung over shower rod when not in use. ![]() |
Instead of a bath mat, I put one large rug (indoor outdoor) over the whole bathroom floor. I used a 3' x 5' which was literally the whole floor in our bath, minus a few inches around the edge. I like the look better than a small mat. |

Why is that gross? |
Not pp but do you wash the rug? |
