| Is it trashy to have dinner in front of the TV? How do you have dinner? |
| I'm not sure "trashy" is the right word, but yes, I think night after night of having the squawk box as your dinner time companion is sort of... pathetic. It's an easy way out for people who don't want to put the effort into conversation with people at the dinner table with them. |
What if you live alone? |
| no |
|
DH and I do it every night. We bond over our shows and really enjoy it. Don't see anything wrong with it.
Once we have kids, we'll have family dinners. But until then, we love our shows. |
Well, then, that's another matter! |
That's what we did. I want to teach my kid the proper way to eat, etc. Without the distractions. |
| No. If you don't like to do it, then don't. |
| Um yes. Dinner + TV = Appalachia style white trash. |
| What does it matter if you're in the comfort of your own home? |
| Again, what if you live alone? 27% of Americans do. |
| I don't own a table/chairs and don't have space for them anyway. DD and I eat all our meals either on the way to school/work or sitting on the couch. |
| Totally. We still do it from time to time (the odd Friday night takeout after the kids go to bed). |
| I'm not sure if trashy is the right word, but I think it's not a great idea and something that should be very rare. |
| Every night? Kind of. But Friday nights, while having Pizza and Movie Night? Absolutely the best! |
