Mother in law Lives far away and is all about gifts and recognition for Mother's Day. (My mother is happy just with a card and talking to us on phone). Of course it's last minute today and I have been calling her favorite florist all day and the phone lines are busy which makes me think they shut phones off as they can't take any more orders (small town). Being 36 weeks pregnant with 2 young toddlers and working full time, I didn't get the card out in time. Any suggestions on what I can do knowing it's tomorrow? Should I just get flowers sent to her work on Monday? |
Is there a spa place in her hometown? You could call them and get her a gift card or something that they could keep at their front desk. Then tomorrow you could tell her that there's a surprise waiting for her at _________. My MIl is the exact same way ![]() |
The FTD website says, "It's not too late!" So you could order flowers online. Good luck; my MIL is the same way. |
I told DH he had to handle his own mom after she went ballistic last year.
It's making this year's mother's day much less stressful for me ![]() Good luck. |
I just ordered for my mom from Edible Arrangement. A dozen chocolate covered strawberries. I think they are still taking orders for delivery tomorrow. |
How is this your problem? Tell DH this is his issue to fix and that MIL's mothers day, birthday, and Christmas presents are his from on out. |
