Mirror frame color in white basement bathroom

Anonymous
My basement bathroom is in good shape but it a pretty plain "white" bathroom: white walls, white shower tile, light floor tile, white chair rail. I want the somewhat large mirror over the (white) vanity and sink to put some color. The bathroom is next to a playroom and my kids use it, fwiw.

What color would you choose for the mirror frame? I was thinking either dark blue or pastel lilac.

I like a World Market vibe. That's how my general taste skews. So, I would drop by and look for a shower curtain and mirror that would bring life to the "pretty plain 'white' bathroom." It would pull the whole room together.

Can you paint the walls? In our last house we had a small basement bathroom we painted a deep purple. It had white beadboard, white toilet, white sink and a white mirror with oil rubbed bronzed accessories. I miss that bathroom!

Otherwise I think a navy or purple mirror would be nice
