Do any offices there allow any amount of telework?
Well considering it's known as the worst place to work in the federal government, there's not much telework allowed. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/04/16/dhs-is-worst-place-to-work-among-federal-agencies-again/
Reminds me of the time I interviewed there (at the offices near American University). Every single person I spoke with (like 5 or 6) was 60+ and each one told me that if they ever had to move to the new buildings in Southeast, they would be retiring rather than have to change their commute. Everyone seemed really grim.
Yes. Many offices telework one day per week.
Yes, some as much as 3 days a week.
My spouse works for DHS and teleworks two days a week. One of his coworkers was taking care of a sick relative in another state and teleworked full time, only flying in every month or so for a few days. Next door neighbor also works for DHS and teleworks two days a week although he recently told me his office will be moving to three days per week soon. Both my spouse and neighbor love their jobs...
Op here, thanks for the info. Another question: if you're coming from another Federal agency, how long is the security clearance process? I've heard it's pretty lengthy.

DH is at DHS - telework as necessary and approved (he was allowed after I had a baby), but there's no regular agreement. His management teleworks all the time, no notice. They can even micromanage from afar!
