prayer request for family member in need.

My brother just got out of prison (pot selling). Our family is messed up to say the least. For reasons I can't explain here, I can't request this of them.

Can you give a little prayer that he stays mentally healthy and makes good choices and that our father is able to handle the stress of having him back at home?

Thank you.

May God give your family and especially father the strength to go through this difficult period. May your brother be rightfully guided to make better choices and cured from any illnesses he suffers from and may He ease the pain you're going through

What's it like being Muslim? Well, it's hard to find a decent halal pizza place and occasionally there is a hashtag calling for your genocide...

I hope it works out for him. Is he getting any sort of professional mental health help?

Heartfelt prayers work. Praying in faith that your brother will allow God to transform him into a new creation in Christ.

Thanks all:

OP with update. My brother has bipolar disorder and he is in a state with worse than usual mental health care. our father quite possibly has mental illness as well but he's all brother has.

More prayers welcome.

In terms of family: We are now open with family and we do have an aunt with a very similar mental illness to brother in same state and I HOPE she is helpful to him.

Brother does not really believe in the power of prayer but I do and that aunt does.

Thanks again all.

Are you suggesting that only Christian prayers are welcomed and effective? Would it be OK for a Jewish person to pray -- as long as they only pray for his recovery and don't pray that the brother become a Jew?
