Hi,
While my oldest is more than a year away from driving, I have nieces and nephews who are teen drivers. Can you please tell me what you are paying per month for car insurance for your teen driver? Bc in Maryland, where I live, I believe it is about $500 per month, extra. Just checking to see if that can possibly be for real. |
Our insurance premium increased 50% when a "youthful driver" was added to the policy. They're considered "youthful" until age 25. |
That's what we are paying too as DC is considered a primary driver. |
My DD and I share a 2013 car. We pay $125 a month. It used to be cheaper, but she hit a parked car. ![]() I shudder to think how much it will be if/when she ever saves enough to get her own car. |
PP here. They do not have to be put onto your insurance until they actually have their driver's license. So while your child has a learner's permit, you don't pay for more insurance. That was a big relief for me. |
