When did your babies hair texture change?

Husband and i are both mixed (black and white), with very curly hair. Baby is 3 months with straight hair. When do babies hair typically change texture?

We are both white, but both have thick curly hair. DS's hair didn't get curly til about 2. Dd is 1 1/2 and still only very slightly wavy.

My husband and I are also both mixed. Our DS got his curls around 15 months but he had very little hair before then (what was there was straight).

DD is half Indian half AA. Born with a massive amount of black, very dark straight hair. Just beautiful! Around twenty months hair seems lighter in color and had soft bouncy large ringlet curls. As her her got longer, now she's four, her hair reaches her elbows and she had soft waves and it's light brown. My point is, it keeps changing, but every change is gorgeous!

DD is 1/2 mixed (AA, Cuban, and Irish) and 1/2 Ashkenazi Jew. Peach fuzz until 1 year, then light colored cornsilk texture for a year, then loose light fine textured curls until age 4. Now mixture of waves and spirals in dark brown. It's getting thicker and coarser as puberty approaches.

My son is mixed black & white. His hair was straight until around 2. Now at 4, it has my texture (I'm white with fine/wavy hair) with my husband's curls -- although our son's curls are much looser. Hair color has stayed the same -- a medium brown with red highlights. Mine is red; husband's is black.
