FSH injections with timed intercourse - Columbia vs. SG

Has anyone used FSH drugs with timed intercourse if clomid was unsucessful. I went to Columbia fertility and was told if clomid does not work they use FSH with timed intercourse before moving onto IUI. Shady Grove seems to go straight to IUIs if timed intercourse with clomid does not work. Has anyone had suceess with FSH injections and timed intercourse?

I'm with Columbia and I will be starting Bravelle with my next cycle. Dr. Rifka recommended the injectables rather than the Clomid. He requires IUI with Clomid and we will be doing timed intercourse with the injectables. I am curious to hear others who have followed this protocol and gotten pregnant. Is there anyone out there?

Having used both Clomid and injectibles, I would opt for injectibles with timed intercourse (if my condition allowed it). Clomid, while inexpensive, can thin the uterine lining and dry up cervical mucous. Injectibles avoid that issue. I wouldn't be alarmed that they are willing to do injectibles with timed intercourse before moving on to IUI.
